As the title suggests, this movie is in the same category as Heavenly Forest and Be With You, so have the tissues handy. Although it is a simpler story than those two. The screenplay is based on the lyrics of the popular song of the same name. So popular, it has been adopted by the Okinawa region as a modern-day folk song. Nada Sou Sou was number 1 at the Japanese box office when released and is from the same Director as Be With You - no doubt contributing to its success, along with its popular and accomplished leading actors Masami Nagasawa and Satoshi Tsumabuki.
